20th Anniversary Celebration of the AACR-Thomas J. Bardos Science Education Awards for Undergraduate Students
For 20 years, the AACR-Thomas J. Bardos Science Education Awards for Undergraduate Students have provided scholar awards to over 200 students to attend AACR Annual Meetings. What started as an annual donation by Dr. Bardos and his estate, has led to a legacy of impactful giving that has provided invaluable opportunities to awardees, and for many, the beginning of a flourishing career in science.
Deeply dedicated to the continued growth and professional development of students, the AACR matches these contributions each year and continues to fund these awards to help foster the next generation of cancer researchers. Often noted as a defining moment in the educational and professional path for many awardees, the AACR emphasizes the scholarship and limitless potential of each awardee and is proud to provide these awards to meritorious students.
During the AACR Annual Meeting 2017, which took place April 1-5, 2017, in Washington, D.C., the AACR celebrated 20 years of Bardos alumni, highlighted their achievements, and reflected on the impact of this award.
