The AACR has recently been notified that some conference registrants are being solicited by an unauthorized company trying to obtain credit card information by phone and email to secure housing accommodations at this conference. CMR (Convention Management Resources) is the official hotel management company for The AACR Annual Meeting. No other hotel management company or travel agency is authorized to place reservations on behalf of AACR. These companies have not entered into agreements with the Chicago hotels and are not able to guarantee rates and accommodations during the dates of the conference. Hotel ReservationsYou may reserve your hotel room in one of the following ways:
Online: Please note that you must supply a credit card in order to reserve a room
online. You will find descriptions, amenity information, and photographs for each AACR official hotel. Additionally, a map showing the location of all hotels and the McCormick Place Convention Center is available on the AACR Housing website. Visit the AACR Housing website to get up-to-the minute availability and receive immediate confirmation of your hotel reservation.
Phone: AACR Housing agents will be available to accept reservations as well as provide information on the AACR official hotels Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. U.S. ET. You will be required to supply a credit card if reserving your hotel room by phone. Once your reservation is complete, you will receive immediate confirmation by email. GuaranteeReservations must be guaranteed with either a major credit card (AMEX, Visa, or MasterCard) or a check in the amount of $300 per guestroom and $700 per suite. Make checks payable to Convention Management Resources, Inc.
Changes and CancellationsChanges and cancellations can be made:
Your credit card will be charged one night’s room plus tax or your check deposit will be forfeited if you cancel your reservation less than 72 hours before your confirmed arrival date. If you fail to arrive on the date confirmed by AACR Housing, your credit card will be charged one night’s room plus tax or your check will be forfeited. All subsequent nights of the reservation will be cancelled.
Hospitality SuitesSuites are for sleeping purposes only and may not be used for meetings or events without prior written permission from AACR. Group ReservationsOrganizations wishing to hold a block of rooms must use the
Group Block Housing Form. Exhibitors may request rooms in the AACR Room Block and must submit an
Exhibitor Room Block Request Form. Please adhere to all rules and regulations to facilitate processing. Confirmations will be emailed. All group rooming lists (for both exhibitors as well as general groups) need to be submitted by

Taxi ServiceMore than 5,800 city taxis are at your service in Chicago. Chicago O’Hare International Airport is located 17 miles from downtown, and the average taxi fare is approximately $40-50 one way. Midway International Airport is located 10 miles from downtown, and the average taxi fare is $30-40 one way.
Public TransportationChicago Transit Authority (CTA) operates the nation’s second-largest public transportation system, serving the City of Chicago and 40 neighboring communities by rail and bus. Pay cash for single-trip rides or purchase a reloadable Ventra Transit Card or Unlimited Ride Pass for added savings. For full fare information, visit the

Complete information on transportation to Chicago and ground transportation to and from the airports as well as in Chicago will be included in future Annual Meeting publications and posted on the AACR website. Beginning Saturday, April 14, through
Wednesday, April 18, shuttle buses will be provided between the McCormick Place Convention Center and designated AACR Annual Meeting participating hotels. A list of hotels served by the shuttle service will be available online at a later date. Shuttle bus schedules will be posted in each hotel, at the McCormick Place Convention Center, and at the AACR Information Desks located throughout the Center.
Shuttle Service between Official Meeting Hotels and the Convention Center The AACR provides complimentary shuttle service between many of the official AACR Annual Meeting 2018 hotels and the Convention Center. Please review the
shuttle schedule for times, locations, and route numbers for your hotel.
Assistance for International TravelersAn official letter of invitation is available through the online registration system. Contact the American Consulate in your country to review the current regulations for travel to the United States. Please begin the visa application process as early as possible. Information is available on the
U.S. Department of State website.
