AACR: American Association for Cancer Research

Leading Discoveries. Targeting Cures. Saving Lives.

The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and our more than 44,000 members worldwide are leading the global effort to defeat cancer.

Since our founding in 1907, the AACR and our members have been at the forefront of every major advance against cancer. Our membership includes pioneers in cancer and biomedical science who have paved the way for new therapeutics that have helped millions of people live with and beyond cancer.

The AACR Annual Meeting and the dozens of smaller meetings, conferences, and educational workshops held each year are must attend events for researchers, physician-scientists, and others across the emtire continuum of cancer science. The AACR publishes eight peer-reviewed scientific journals that cover the entire spectrum of cancer research and Cancer Today magazine, is the authoritative resource for cancer patients, survivors, and their family members and friends.

The AACR is funding promising research, supporting the next generation of researchers, and nurturing collaborations, including AACR Project GENIE, a cutting-edge international data sharing initiative advancing cancer precision medicine. And the AACR is the Scientific Partner of Stand Up to Cancer.
