Its members include 33,000 cancer researchers, health care professionals, and cancer survivors and advocates in the United States and more than 90 other countries.

The AACR accelerates progress against cancer by providing financial support for cancer research that has the highest potential for patient benefit. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) endorses the American Association for Cancer Research as a BBB Wise Giving Alliance charity.

The AACR offers high-quality scientific and educational programs and podcasts; funds innovative, meritorious research grants, research fellowships and grants to young investigators to enhance their careers; and publishes seven major peer-reviewed journals. The AACR also publishes CR magazine, a publication for cancer survivors and their families, patient advocates, physicians and scientists.
