Web Programmer Analyst

Reports to:  Enterprise Architect
Department/ Division:  Information Technology
Employment Status:  Full-time/Exempt  

Position Description and Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and maintains ASP.NET web applications in use in the organization using the tools standard to the Microsoft web application platform: C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, XML, SQL Server, IIS, SharePoint
  • Takes application concepts and requirements from the users, designs and codes all aspects of the applications, as well as tests and provides documentation for deployment, then ongoing support of the applications
  • Assists in day-to-day support of our SharePoint-based intranet site, as well as developing solutions to enhance the end-user experience
  • Performs research and self-training. Assists others with training in order to maintain skill and knowledge levels at or near the leading edge of technology, for developing business and educational media
  • Works with third party information technology vendors and their associated products
  • Assists in various other business related projects as required, including, but not limited to computer/network support and educational conference support

Position Requirements

  • BA, BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of programming/development experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to self-train and to train others
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a environment implementing a full software development lifecycle
  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, XML, SQL Server, IIS
  • Good to have: Experience developing with SharePoint
