Senior Coordinator, Membership Development
Reports to: Director of Membership

Position Description and Responsibilities
- Works closely with the director and assistant director to coordinate, implement and evaluate a comprehensive marketing strategy for membership recruitment and retention that includes tracking and evaluation of efforts and their effectiveness
- Tracks, reviews, analyzes and compiles reports on membership trends/statistics and benefits usage, reports findings and makes recommendations to the director and assistant director of membership
- Assists with developing and editing electronic and print membership content for internal and external public relations and communications
- Is expert at mining the database for information that would assist with membership development
- Is an excellent and creative writer and drafts and produces large volumes of correspondence
- Is active in monitoring member dues renewals and member benefits usage for purposes of retaining members
- Assists the director and assistant director with work related to the Membership Development Committee, such as developing membership recruitment strategies
- Responds to queries from prospective members about qualifications for membership
- Organizes and maintains relevant files (comprised of digital, hard copy and archived files) and documentation in a timely manner
- Performs the essential functions of the position, and other responsibilities as may be assigned by the director or assistant director
Position Requirements
- BA or BS degree required
- Three or more years of administrative/supervisory experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to use these skills in developing and implementing membership development techniques
- High level of accuracy in the performance of tasks and functions
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage and follow through on multiple tasks with keen attention to detail
- Ability to productively and effectively function while unsupervised, and as part of a team
- Ability to assess, analyze and prioritize activities and projects
- Advanced computer skills especially in Microsoft Access and Excel
- Project management experience a plus
- Knowledge of membership marketing, recruiting and retention strategies a plus
- Basic knowledge of Web content management helpful
