The Career Development Awards and Research Fellowships Scientific Review Committees select recipients for grants open to junior faculty and postdoctoral and clinical research fellows.
- The AACR-Gertrude B. Elion Cancer Research Award fosters meritorious basic, translational or clinical cancer research by a tenure-track scientist at the level of assistant professor. The award recognizes research excellence in cancer etiology, diagnosis, treatment or prevention.
- The AACR Career Development Awards provide important transitional support for junior faculty for basic, translational and clinical cancer research. Awards have been given for research on the HER family pathway; lung, pancreatic and pediatric cancers; and in basic and translational cancer research.
- The AACR Research Fellowships and Fellows Grants are awarded to clinical and postdoctoral fellows. Awards have been given for basic, translational, clinical and prevention research; angiogenesis research; and studies of brain, colorectal, lung, melanoma and pancreatic cancers.
