American Association for Cancer Research

AACR Centennial

May 7, 2007, commemorates the 100th anniversary of the American Association for Cancer Research, marking a century of progress in saving lives through cancer research. In 2007, it is our honor to recognize the accomplishments of the countless researchers, physicians, advocates and patients who contribute to the ongoing effort to conquer cancer.

For the past 100 years, the programs and services of AACR have fostered the exchange of knowledge and new ideas among scientists dedicated to cancer research, provided mentorship and training opportunities for the next generation of cancer researchers, and increased the public's understanding of cancer.
