The MICR Council is the leadership body of Minorities in Cancer Research that facilitates the support of award and lecture programs, AACR Annual Meeting activities, communications outreach, and networking opportunities to facilitate its mission as MICR sponsored programs and activities. The Council needs the support of MICR members, the philantrhopic community, cancer survivors, patient advocates, and others to increase the number, participation, visibility, and recognition of minority scientists in cancer research.
Being committed to the professional development, education, and training of minorities in all areas of cancer research, MICR sponsors several programs and activities, including AACR Annual Meeting events, award and lectureship programs, outreach and networking opportunities, cancer health disparities, and much more.
