MICR Networking and Resource Center (NRC) offers meeting attendees with a comfortable environment to network one-on-one and in small groups while learning about AACR and MICR programs as well as MICR membership and committee service opportunities. The NRC is also the location for networking "Meet and Greets" with established scientists and program speakers.
MICR Forum provides useful tools and information to support the professional development of minority cancer researchers. Specific topics have included funding, training, mentoring and more.
MICR Town Meeting provides an opportunity for the MICR Council to present its members, agenda and programs to AACR members and annual meeting participants. This session gives participants a chance to share ideas, voice concerns and express views on a variety of related topics.
MICR Professional Advancement Reception and Roundtable is a Professional Advancement Series session designed for investigators at all levels, but particularly early-career investigators, to explore career options and issues affecting professional advancement and development through small informal discussions with senior researchers.
MICR Scientific Symposium informs the cancer research community about cancer issues related to race/ethnicity and/or provides a platform for minority scientists to present their work for discussion and debate.
Lectureships and Awards include the AACR-MICR Annual Jane Cooke Wright Lectureship, the AACR Minority-Serving Institution Faculty Scholar Awards in Cancer Research, as well as the AACR Minority Scholar in Cancer Research Awards.
