Database of Exceptional Minority Scientists (back to top)
The MICR Database of Exceptional Minority Scientists was In an effort to increase the visibility and recognition of minority investigators. With input from the MICR Council's Awards Nominations Committee, nearly 100 minority investigators were identified for their exceptional contributions to cancer research as scientists, leaders, mentors, and as up-and-coming minority investigators and are included in the database.

E-Newsletters and E-nnouncements (back to top)
MICR members are kept informed about issues and opportunities of relevance to them via these communications.  The E-newsletter shares award, funding and career opportunities; updates about Annual Meeting events sponsored by MICR; announcements about new Council members, opportunities for committee service, and more. 

Distributed monthly, the E-nnouncement shares current and pertinent information with MICR members about issues and opportunities of interest to them that are offered through AACR and other organizations. 

MICR members are invited to contribute information for these electronic communications by sending an e-mail to micr@aacr.org.

In an effort to increase the visibility and recognition of minority investigators, please recommend colleagues for MICR membership.  MICR members become eligible for nominations for awards, lectures and prizes; as well as recommendations for committee service, and as conference speakers, especially those available through AACR.

Town Meeting Response Form (back to top)
The MICR Town Meeting provides an opportunity for the MICR Council to present its members, agenda, and programs to AACR members and annual meeting participants. This meeting gives participants a chance to share ideas, voice concerns, and express views on a variety of related topics.

The MICR Council seeks discussion topics from MICR members that may be addressed in open floor discussion at the MICR Town Meeting.  Click here to submit a response form.
