Women in Cancer Research (WICR) is a membership group within the AACR
committed to recognizing women's scientific achievements and fostering career development and advancement in cancer research.
The WICR Council is the leadership body of Women in Cancer Research and facilitates professional advancement seminars, the Charlotte Friend Memorial Lectureship, the Women in Cancer Research Scholar Awards, communications with women scientists, and networking opportunities to facilitate its mission. The Council needs the support of WICR members, the philanthropic community, cancer survivors, patient advocates, and others to increase the number, participation, visibility, and recognition of women scientists in cancer research.
