The WICR Council is the leadership body of Women in Cancer Research and facilitates professional advancement seminars, the Charlotte Friend Memorial Lectureship, the Women in Cancer Research Scholar Awards, communications with women scientists, and networking opportunities to facilitate its mission. The Council needs the support of WICR members, the philanthropic community, cancer survivors, patient advocates, and others to increase the number, participation, visibility, and recognition of women scientists in cancer research.

- Join WICR; membership is free (you must be an AACR member to join)
- Make charitable donations to support and ensure the continuation of WICR programs
- WICR Members may volunteer for committee service
- Tell your colleagues about AACR and WICR; encourage them to join!
