American Association for Cancer Research and Susan G. Komen to Co-host Twitter Chat on Breast Cancer Disparities

Leading breast cancer researcher Christopher Li, M.D., Ph.D., will be tweeting on behalf of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) during a chat on Oct. 7 on breast cancer disparities.

The Twitter chat will take place today at 5 p.m. ET.

Li, head of the translational research program at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Wash., is co-chair of the Sixth AACR Conference on the Science of Cancer Health Disparities in Racial/Ethnic Minorities and the Medically Underserved, which will be held Dec. 6-9, in Atlanta, Ga.

Amelie Ramirez, M.D., founding director of the Institute for Health Promotion Research at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, will be tweeting on behalf of Susan G. Komen. Ramirez is a member of the scientific program committee for the AACR Conference on the Science of Cancer Health Disparities and the Susan G. Komen Scientific Advisory Board.
