Annual Meeting 2011 Highlights

The 102nd AACR Annual Meeting 2011 held in Orlando, Fla., April 2-6, attracted more than 16,000 attendees to learn about and discuss the best and latest in cancer research. The theme of the meeting, "Innovation and Collaboration – The Path to Progress," highlighted novel approaches and technologies being used in the laboratory, innovative preclinical science, clinical trial results and more.

Members of the national and international press count on the AACR Annual Meeting to deliver a wide range of breaking news, features and trend stories in cancer etiology, prevention, diagnosis, drug development and treatment. Coverage included stories from The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Time Magazine, ABC World News Tonight, HealthDay, Yahoo! Webcasts

For the first time, the entire meeting was webcast. After initially being available to subscribers only, more than 800 talks are now available to view for free via a Web browser or mobile device.


Podcasts and Teleconferences

During the meeting, the AACR conducted video podcast interviews with scientists, luminaries and advocates, all preeminent leaders in the global cancer community. In addition, audio recordings are available for the six press conferences that took place on-site.
