The first AACR International Conference on Frontiers in Basic Cancer Research took place October 8-11, 2009 in Boston. It focused on the latest advances in basic cancer research and included presentations on high-priority topics such as Epigenetics, Targeted Small Molecules, Systems Biology and Metastasis. The communications department hosted two press conferences one highlighting several abstracts from the meeting and another featured leading scientists speaking on the topic of metastasis.
