The AACR recognizes the public's great interest in the cancer problem and is committed to improving general understanding of the achievements in cancer research and the need for government support for the national cancer program. The Association monitors congressional and federal agency actions to inform AACR members of relevant activity. The federal budget process, congressional legislation and agency rule making are examined for their impact on cancer research.
Action alerts are sent periodically to AACR members, usually by e-mail, requesting them to take some specific action with regard to pending legislation and agency rules affecting cancer research. AACR will post all current Action Alerts in this space.
