Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) is an unprecedented collaboration uniting the major television networks, entertainment industry executives and celebrities and prominent leaders in cancer research and patient advocacy in a major new initiative to move groundbreaking cancer research out of the lab and into the clinic. SU2C is committed to:
- identifying the most promising opportunities and leveraging its fiscal and management resources to achieve a paradigm shift in clinical cancer research;
- high-quality science in its funding activities and believes that this can be accomplished within the framework of a truly innovative approach to support SU2C-funded research; and
- accountability and transparency. Dream Teams will be required to periodically report on their progress which will be available here.

Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), the charitable initiative supporting groundbreaking research aimed at getting new cancer treatments to patients in an accelerated timeframe, has reached a significant milestone, awarding the first round of three-year grants — that total $73.6 million — to five multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional research Dream Teams. The SU2C Innovative Research Grants are a new effort to support the next generation of extraordinary leaders in their quest to conquer cancer. These grants will provide substantial funding to early-career scientists whose novel, high-risk, high-reward cancer research proposals have significant potential for translational application, and hold great promise for advancing SU2C's overarching goal of improving and saving the lives of patients.
