Clinical Plenary Session on Phase III Clinical Trials - Breakthroughs in Clinical Research
This session will feature first-disclosure findings from major Phase III clinical trials. Presenters will introduce their talks by briefly describing the basic science underpinnings of their work and how these laboratory discoveries ultimately lead to their exciting clinical results. This session will be derived from abstracts submitted for the February 14, 2007 late-breaking abstract deadline and will be reviewed in a competitive manner by a select review committee.
MONDAY, APRIL 16
2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Preclinical Research and Phase I Clinical Trials
This session will inform the AACR community about promising compounds in the pipeline. The session will be derived from phase I clinical trials submitted for the February 14, 2007 late-breaking abstract deadline and will be reviewed in a competitive manner by a select review committee.
TUESDAY, APRIL 17
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Phase II Proof of Concept Clinical Trials
Phase II proof of concept clinical trials are directed to determine whether a novel therapy hits its target in tumor cells of treated patients, define appropriate biomarkers, and delineate biologic correlates of response versus resistance. Importantly, they define the clinical significance of inhibiting specific targets and signaling cascades, providing the framework for next generation rational combination therapies. This session will be derived from relevant abstracts submitted for the February 14, 2007 late-breaking abstract deadline and will be reviewed in a competitive manner by a select committee.
