AACR Annual Meeting 2014

HOW TO REGISTER

Registration for the AACR Annual Meeting 2014 may be completed online; or by fax or onsite using the registration form above. Registration forms submitted without full payment cannot be processed and will be returned. Government or other purchase orders cannot be accepted. All fees must be paid in U.S. currency drawn on a U.S. bank. Please note that paying the abstract submission fee does not constitute registration for the meeting.

WHERE TO REGISTER

Registration will be conducted in Lobby D of the San Diego Convention Center on the following schedule:

Friday, April 4 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 5 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Sunday, April 6 6:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Monday, April 7 6:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, April 8 6:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, April 9 6:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.


There is a charge of $25 for lost badges. To avoid this charge, please remember to bring your badge to the Annual Meeting each day and keep it in a secure place. Replacement badges may be purchased at the Lost Badges/Name Changes booth in Lobby D of the San Diego Convention Center.

SATELLITE ADVANCE REGISTRATION

To help alleviate wait times for badge pick up, the AACR will provide Advance Registration Counters at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina, the Omni San Diego, and the Manchester Grand Hyatt hotels. Preregistered attendees will be able to pick up their badges and conference materials. Attendees can access the Satellite Advance Registration Counters during the following times:

Friday, April 4 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 5 6:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Sunday, April 6 6:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.


ELIGIBILITY FOR REGISTRATION AT AACR MEMBER RATES

Only individuals who were listed on the membership rolls as of Monday, March 24, will be accorded the privilege of registering for the AACR Annual Meeting 2014 at the member rates noted below. If upon review of membership application a candidate is deemed ineligible for the membership category to which he or she has applied, then the candidate will need to register at the nonmember rate.

CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS

Requests for refunds must be made by email to aacr@compusystems.com. A processing fee of $75 was applied to refunds requested by the Friday, February 28, cancellation deadline. No refunds can be made after February 28.

SPOUSE / GUEST REGISTRATION / PASSES

The AACR offers several options for spouse/guest registration. These special rates are not available to scientists in cancer research or any related field. A special reduced registration fee of $50 is available for spouses/guests. The spouse/guest will receive a badge that will allow him/her to attend the Annual Reception and visit the Exhibit/Poster Hall during the meeting. Children under 12 years of age are not permitted in the Exhibit/Poster Hall or at scientific sessions at any time. Children under 12 years of age cannot be left unattended or without supervision anywhere in the San Diego Convention Center. The AACR provides supervised child care service in the convention center at a nominal cost for children under 12 years of age. Please go to any of the onsite registration booths to register your spouse/guest.

Complimentary one-day passes for the Exhibit/Poster Hall are available for non-scientist spouses, guests, and children 12 years of age or older. This pass will allow a one-time admittance into the Exhibit/Poster Hall. It does not allow entry to social activities or scientific sessions. Please go to the Lost Badges/Name Changes booth in the Registration Area to request an Exhibit/Poster Hall Pass. A complimentary pass for entrance to a single scientific session is available for a non-scientist spouse/guest. This pass does not allow entry into any other area or event. Please go to the Lost Badges/Name Changes booth in the Registration Area of the San Diego Convention Center to request a Single Scientific Session Pass.

CREDENTIALS

All advance registrants will receive an Express Badge Pickup confirmation by email approximately one week prior to the start of the meeting. Please bring this notice with you to the AACR Annual Meeting 2014 in San Diego and you may proceed to the Advance Registration counters for fast pick up of your registration credentials. Your badge will provide you with access to the scientific sessions as well as the exhibit floor.

GROUP REGISTRATIONS

Group registrations must include housing forms for each registrant within the AACR group block. Group registrations will not be processed without an AACR Group Housing Form or notification of location of housing outside of the AACR block. Travel agencies or any third parties must include registration forms that are completely filled out with each registrant’s membership status, mailing address, telephone, fax and email address. All changes in group registrations had to be submitted in writing by Monday, March 17. If those changes alter the total amount due for the group, a reconciliation of the amount due had to be made with CompuSystems by Friday, March 21. Registration materials for preregistered groups will be available for pickup at pre-assigned times on Friday, April 4, at the registration counters at the San Diego Convention Center.

CONFIRMATIONS

All mailed or faxed registrations will be confirmed within two weeks of receipt. Online registrations will be confirmed at the time of registration. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact the AACR registration company, CompuSystems, at (708) 486-0720 or aacr@compusystems.com.

An official letter of invitation is available through the online registration system or by emailing AACR@compusystems.com.
