CONTENT OF WORKSHOP
This workshop is a unique learning experience for trainees that combines: lectures/discussions from the top investigators in the field of cancer research, opportunities for mentoring and career development, hands-on laboratory sessions and guidance in grant writing. Each of our faculty experts will lead a one-hour session on their field of research as it relates to the basic principles of clinical oncology, with ample discussion time. Faculty will be responsible for stimulating questions on the aspects of the presentation that are important to clinical oncologists developing as physician-scientists.
The workshop will also feature five different hands-on laboratory sessions. Each trainee will be able to select the four labs that will most expand his or her laboratory skill set. These labs are conducted in small groups to maximize the learning experience and faculty interactions.
Trainees will also benefit from sessions on career development and grant preparation, as well as have several opportunities to meet one-on-one with faculty members during scheduled office hours.

The application deadline is Monday, March 12. Trainees will be selected upon application review by the Organizing Committee. All applicants will be notified of their status by mid-April.
