APPLICATION PROCESS

Award applications are no longer being accepted for this conference. The application deadline was Friday, September 19. All award applicants have been contacted by e-mail at the address provided with their abstract submission or on their application. Individuals who were not selected for an award and therefore cannot attend the conference, may request a full refund of the conference registration fee by contacting the AACR Meetings Department at meetings@aacr.org.


SCHOLAR-IN-TRAINING AWARDS

AACR Scholar-in-Training Awards enhance the education and training of early career scientists by providing financial support for their attendance at this AACR conference. The Program Committee has selected graduate students, medical students and residents, clinical fellows or equivalent, and postdoctoral fellows who are the presenters of meritorious abstracts to receive these awards. The AACR sincerely thanks Susan G. Komen for the Cure, AstraZeneca, and the Avon Foundation for their generous support of these awards.

MINORITY SCHOLAR IN CANCER RESEARCH AWARD

The AACR is pleased to administer this important award program that is supported by a generous grant from the Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities of the National Cancer Institute and provides funds for the participation of meritorious minority scientists in AACR meetings and conferences. These awards weare available to full-time predoctoral (graduate or medical) students or residents, clinical or postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty who are either engaged in cancer research or who have the training and potential to make contributions to this field, and are considered to be underrepresented in cancer and biomedical research by the National Cancer Institute.

AACR-NCI INTERNATIONAL INVESTIGATOR OPPORTUNITY GRANTS

The AACR and the National Cancer Institute are pleased to support this travel grant program, which aims to enhance the quality of cancer research worldwide by providing financial assistance to faculty-level researchers in countries where opportunities for scientific advancement are limited. The grants will provide ten researchers residing and conducting research in lower income countries with support to participate in this conference. An orientation session, networking opportunities, and a tour of a local cancer center will also be arranged for grant recipients. Grant recipients will be announced at the conference.
