The Frontiers in Cancer Prevention Research conference has been an annual conference presented by the AACR for over a decade. The 2012 program marked the eleventh installment of the series; drawing over 450 researchers, scientists, advocates and other cancer prevention professionals from nearly 20 different countries. This conference promotes public, academic, government and industry awareness of the vital importance of cancer prevention science in reducing cancer incidence and mortality. It also catalyzes coordinated, focused research in basic, clinical, epidemiologic and behavioral science that promises to accelerate cancer prevention.
