ORAL PRESENTATIONS OF HIGHLY RATED ABSTRACTS

High-impact oral presentations of selected abstracts will be integrated within thematic sessions.


PROFESSIONAL ADVANCEMENT SESSION FOR YOUNG INVESTIGATORS

This year’s conference will again feature a Professional Advancement Session specifically designed for young investigators. The session will take place on Sunday, November 16, and will focus on professional advancement and mentoring young investigators in cancer prevention through a panel discussion with leaders in the field.  Advance registration was required, onsite registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.


NCI OPPORTUNITIES FOR JUNIOR INVESTIGATORS

On Sunday, November 16, Dr. Jonathan S. Wiest of the National Cancer Institute, Center for Cancer Training, will lead a one-hour panel discussion with his colleagues from the NCI. Panelists will give an overview of training and grant funding mechanisms for new and junior investigators. Space is limited and a separate registration is required (no fee).


SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The Conquest of Cancer and the Next Generation

AACR is committed to the education and training of the next generation of able and dedicated cancer researchers. The Association is pleased to offer an AACR Special Program for High School Students which will provide students with the opportunity to network with peers while learning about cancer and the field of cancer research from established cancer investigators.
