This AACR Special Conference on Advances in Colon Cancer Research was a continuation of the popular organ-site series held every two to three years. The 2007 conference featured the latest research and advances in murine models, apc/wnt/beta catenin pathways, DNA mismatch repair, metastasis, epigenetic changes and development, adenoma biology and prevention, predictive and prognostic markers, epidemiology, and stem cells as they pertain to colon cancer. In addition to the plenary sessions and keynote address from Dr. Robert A. Weinberg, there were two poster sessions that allowed young investigators to present their research as well as network with colleagues and establish potential collaborations.
