The AACR Special Conference on Tumor Immunology examined tumor immunology as a component of the complex tumor–host relationship. The conference also discussed strategies to immunologically manipulate the host response as well as the current state-of-the-art of tumor vaccine immunotherapy strategies, and the use of antibody therapy as an immunotherapy modality. The conference drew nearly 275 participants from around the world, with nearly half of attendees presenting abstracts of their current research.
