This was the fourth AACR Special Conference to focus on the latest advances in prostate cancer research and drew a record number of attendees and poster presentations. The 2012 conference featured plenary sessions on genomic and molecular profiling, prognostic signatures, androgen receptor signaling, drug development, ETS gene fusions, prostate cancer initiation and progression, and imaging. The program included a special session on late-breaking research, four keynote talks from Vishva Dixit (Genentech), Myles Brown (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute), William Nelson (Johns Hopkins Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center), and Christopher Logothetis (University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center), and three poster sessions. Over 350 researchers participated in this conference that included over 200 poster presentations.
