The AACR Special Conference on Tumor Immunology will examine tumor immunology as a component of the complex tumor–host relationship. The conference also will discuss strategies to immunologically manipulate the host response. We will consider the current state-of-the-art of tumor vaccine immunotherapy strategies, and the use of antibody therapy as an immunotherapy modality. Session titles include: Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms Regulating T-cell Function in Cancer; Tumor Antigens and Mechanisms of Immune Surveillance; Antibodies in Cancer Immunotherapy; Regulation of Tumor Growth by Tumor Microenvironment; Epigenetic Regulation of Tumor Growth and Immune Recognition; New Advances in the Development of Cancer Vaccines; and Co-stimulation and Immune Suppression in Cancer: A Two-faced Janus. Most sessions will include talks from submitted abstracts.
