AACR Centennial Series: Historical Reviews

As part of the commemoration of our Centennial, the AACR commissioned a series of historical review articles to be published serially in Cancer Research. This history series covers the major scientific advances of the past 100 years in the fields of cancer causation, pathogenesis, prevention, and treatment.

Available free to everyone, we hope these articles will provide a unique chronicle of progress, highlighting the factors that influenced these critical developments, discussing their implications, and considering future directions in the field.
