Embargo Policy for All Journals

Once submitted, contributions cannot be discussed with representatives of the media (including other scientific journals) until one week before the date of release. The information in accepted articles is embargoed from reporting by all media until 12:01 A.M. (EST) the date of release unless otherwise stated. Release dates for AACR journal issues are listed below.

Note Regarding OnlineFirst Publication.  Effective January 2009, all articles in AACR journals will be published online ahead of print. OnlineFirst articles will be published every Tuesday.   • Cancer Research. Twice monthly. Release dates are the 1st and 15th of each month. If the 1st or 15th falls on a weekend, the release date will be the Thursday before.
  • Clinical Cancer Research. Twice monthly. Release dates are the 1st and 15th of each month. If the 1st or 15th falls on a weekend, the release date will be the Thursday before.
  • Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention. Monthly. Release date is the mail date for each issue. CEBP typically mails around the 8th of each month. Contact the Communications Department [Phone: (215) 440-9300; E-mail: communications@aacr.org] to verify the release date for each issue.
  • Cancer Prevention Research. Monthly. Release date is the mail date for each issue. The journal typically mails around the 5th of each month. Contact the Communications Department [Phone: (215) 440-9300; E-mail: communications@aacr.org] to verify the release date for each issue.
  • Molecular Cancer Therapeutics. Monthly. Release date is the mail date for each issue. MCT typically mails around the 16th of each month. Contact the Communications Department [Phone: (215) 440-9300; E-mail: communications@aacr.org] to verify the release date for each issue.

Authors who discuss their work with the media during the week before publication must ensure that the media representatives know the embargo policy and the embargo date.
