From molecules to medicine, from proteomics to prevention, the journals of the AACR cover the entire spectrum of cancer research. Please select the journal that is most appropriate for your manuscript and follow the instructions to access the correct submission system.
Cancer Research publishes significant, original studies and reviews in all areas of basic, clinical, translational, epidemiological, and prevention cancer research and research in cancer-related biomedical sciences. Topics include cell and tumor biology; tumor microenvironment; systems biology and emerging technologies; clinical research; endocrinology; epidemiology; experimental therapeutics, molecular targets, and chemical biology; immunology; molecular biology, pathobiology, and genetics; and prevention.
Clinical Cancer Research—A Journal of Clinical and Translational Research—focuses on innovative clinical research and translational research that bridges the laboratory and the clinic. Clinical Cancer Research presents clinical trials evaluating new treatments for cancer; research on molecular abnormalities that predict incidence, response to therapy, and outcome; and laboratory studies of new drugs and biomarkers that will lead to clinical trials in patients.
Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention publishes original research and reviews and commentary on cancer causation, mechanisms of carcinogenesis, prevention, and survivorship. Topics include descriptive, analytical, biochemical, and molecular epidemiology; the use of biomarkers to study the neoplastic and preneoplastic processes in humans; chemoprevention and other types of prevention trials; and the role of behavioral factors in cancer etiology and prevention. Null results are also published as short reports.
Molecular Cancer Research—A Journal of the Molecular and Cellular Biology of Cancer— publishes original, novel, and well-designed studies on the molecular and cellular aspects of cancer biology. Papers should represent significant new information gathered from basic research that has implications for cancer therapeutics in one of the following areas: angiogenesis, metastasis, and the cellular microenvironment; cancer genes and genomics; cell cycle, cell death, and senescence; DNA damage and cellular stress responses; and signaling and regulation.
Molecular Cancer Therapeutics—Integrating Targets, Therapeutics, and Technologies— publishes significant, original studies, mini-reviews, perspectives, and commentaries on areas of basic, translational, and clinical research that address the relationships between molecular structures, biological activities, and target impact; mechanisms of action of pharmacological agents; and understanding the molecular basis on tumor response and host effects in cancer.
Cancer Prevention Research, launched in December 2007, focuses on building a translational bridge between the basic and clinical sciences in the field of cancer prevention. The journal will publish articles falling into four primary research categories: oncogenesis, intervention, risk assessment, and early detection. This important new journal is the first in the world dedicated exclusively to cancer prevention, from preclinical research to clinical trials. Beginning in March 2008, Cancer Prevention Research articles will be published continually online as soon as edited. Regular monthly issues will begin appearing in June 2008.
