Available to early-career scientists presenting a meritorious proffered paper at the AACR Annual Meeting.
AACR-WICR Scholar Awards are awarded to members of Women in Cancer Research who are scientists-in-training and presenters of meritorious scientific papers at AACR Annual Meetings. A separate letter of recommendation is required.
Available for full-time faculty members of Minority-Serving Institutions [Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), and Tribal Colleges and Universities]. They are available for attendance at the AACR Annual Meeting or Special Conferences.
Provide support for attendance at the Annual Meeting and AACR Special Conferences through a generous grant provided by the Comprehensive Minority Biomedical Program of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Those eligible for these awards are scientists from groups considered to be underrepresented in cancer research by NCI (African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Native-Americans, Native Pacific Islanders, and Native Alaskans). 
Available to full-time third-year undergraduate students majoring in science. The purpose of these awards is to inspire promising science students to enter the field of cancer research. A separate application form is required.
AACR Scholar-in-Training Awards: Other Conferences and Meetings
In addition to the Scholar-in-Training Awards provided at the AACR Annual Meeting, a number of awards are also available for scientists in training attending AACR's other conferences and meetings throughout the year.
