American Association for Cancer Research

25th Anniversary of the Minority Scholar in Cancer Research Award Program

In 2010, the American Association for Cancer Research is proud to celebrate the 25th year of the AACR Minority Scholar in Cancer Research Award Program. Each year since 1985, these awards have been offered to eligibile minority scientists wishing to participate in the annual meetings of the AACR. The awards are intended to enhance the education and training of minority researchers and to increase the visibility and recognition of minorities involved in cancer research.

In honor of the 25th anniversary of this outstanding award program, the MICR Council would like to reach out to those scholars who have won in years past. If you are a previous winner of an AACR Minority Scholar in Cancer Research Award, please take a minute to provide updated contact information and a brief summary of your current research focus. All respondents will receive a free gift commemorating the 25th Anniversary of Minority Scholar!

We will soon implement social media platforms, face-to-face and long distance networking, mentorship, and other opportunities for all of our past MICR Scholars as a means to increase interaction and networking.

Thanks, and congratulations to our Minority Scholars past and present!
