The mission of the Chemistry in Cancer Research Working Group (CICR) is to promote the future success of cancer research and AACR through the scholarly exchange of chemistry-related information within the community of researchers that utilize chemical sciences and technologies in accomplishing their objectives.CICR/AACR supports its mission and AACR's mission to prevent and cure cancer by:
The pivotal role of chemistry in cancer research, particularly in regard to advances in drug discovery and development, mechanisms of carcinogenesis, early detection, molecular imaging, and biomarker discovery and validation, highlights the need to further incorporate the best chemistry-related science into AACR programs and to enhance AACR’s role in the advancement of the field. CICR will help AACR promote, integrate, and widely disseminate the new developments in cancer-related chemistry to the scientific community.
AACR members may indicate their wish to join CICR via the AACR annual dues invoice, which is sent to members in the winter each year.
AACR members may also join CICR at other times during the year by completing the CICR/AACR Membership form.
CICR does not charge auxiliary dues.
AACR will automatically renew your membership to CICR unless you inform AACR that you no longer wish to be a member.
