How do I register for a conference?

The AACR is pleased to offer patient advocates discounted registration rates for select conferences. Member and nonmember advocates will be eligible for a discounted rate. Please check our website for the early bird, advance and on-site registration rates. New patient advocates must complete an advocate verification form and submit it to advocacy@aacr.org to be eligible for reduced rates. Registration for conferences may be completed online, by fax, or by mail. E-mail advocacy@aacr.org for more information.

How can I become a member of AACR?

The AACR is committed to broadening its membership of advocates and survivors and encourages patient advocates to join AACR as an advocate affiliate member. This category is open to qualified individuals who are members of organizations that promote the advancement of cancer research. A special, discounted rate of $75 is offered to advocates who wish to join the association. To apply for advocate affiliate membership, each candidate must submit an advocate affiliate member application, resumé or CV, cover letter, nominator's signature and mail it to the Member and Data Services Department, AACR, 615 Chestnut Street, 17th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19106-4404.

Can I submit an abstract?

Abstract submission is open to both members and nonmembers of AACR who are affiliated with an organization or institute. All abstracts must be submitted online through the AACR website. E-mail advocacy@aacr.org for more information.

CR magazine

What is CR magazine?

CR was launched by the American Association for Cancer Research in March 2006 to serve an unmet need: a forum for sharing credible, balanced information about cancer and perspectives on the pressing challenges in cancer research today. We believe that collaborations among members of the cancer community—survivors and those who care for and about them—will lead to results in cancer prevention, treatment and care.

How can I subscribe to CR magazine?

Subscriptions can be ordered by phone at 1-866-860-7088 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern time or by visiting the CR website. A subscription includes a copy of CR in the mail and complete access to the magazine's online archives. Subscribers will also get CR's new digital edition, in addition to the print issues, at no extra charge!
