The Advocate Ambassadors program is looking for volunteers to represent the survivor and patient advocacy department in various ways.
By joining Advocate Ambassadors, you will become a part of a community of advocates who are committed to caring for patients, strengthening collaborations within the advocacy community, educating the public and connecting all groups of people who are personally affected by cancer and working toward preventing and curing cancer in all its forms.
We are looking for survivor advocates who can:
- Assist in conference exhibiting
- Distribute CR magazine at community events
- Join advisory panels, such as CR's reader advisory panel
- Participate in radio, television and newspaper interviews
- Promote the AACR's programs for survivors and advocates in newsletters and listservs
- Contribute to our Blogger Network
- and much more!
Joining is Easy!
One. Fill out the volunteer form (Word document) and e-mail it to advocacy@aacr.org to register as an Advocate Ambassador. Please provide your name, contact information and interests, as well as the cities and states in your surrounding area where you are willing to travel.
Two. Check periodically for opportunities. If you find an activity in which you would like to participate, follow the instructions on how to participate.

Advocate Manual
The Survivor and Patient Advocacy Program encourages all advocates to be a better advocate. As a part of our program, we have created an advocate manual to assist in your advocacy.
