Prostate cancer remains a leading cause of cancer death worldwide. A fundamental understanding of the nature of the genetic changes which initiate and progress this malignancy is critical to defining new approaches for therapy. Changes within the epithelium, its surrounding stromal environment, and at distant sites of metastasis must be identified and understood in relationship to cancer progression and therapeutic response or failure.

This AACR Special Conference will present an international group of experts in basic and clinical aspects of prostate cancer research and essential new technologies needed to attack this important problem in a series of plenary sessions complemented by interactive poster sessions.

The major goal of this conference is to foster an open framework in which to discuss our current state of knowledge of prostate cancer fundamental biology, diagnostic strategies, and therapeutic modalities and define the next phase of basic and translational research necessary to improve treatment options. We hope you will join us for this exciting program in San Diego.
