President, Metastasis Research Society

For the first time, the Metastasis Research Society (MRS) and the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) are combining forces to jointly present an international conference with aims to highlight and encourage metastasis research. This conference will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, from August 3-7, 2008, and will focus on all aspects of metastasis incorporating the cutting edge of basic science, translational, and clinical fields. The aim of this multidisciplinary meeting is to highlight novel metastasis research, foster collaboration and further innovation, recruit new investigators into the metastasis field, and encourage progress towards reducing the burden of metastatic disease. We hope you will join us in Vancouver for this exciting conference!

The Metastasis Research Society (MRS) is the only international non-profit organization dedicated to promoting research into all aspects of metastasis, from its molecular basis to the clinical management of disseminated cancer. Every two years, the Society organizes an international Congress, where expert researchers from around the world convene to discuss the up-to-date concepts in the field of metastasis.

The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is the oldest and largest scientific organization in the world covering all the different facets of high-quality, innovative cancer research. Each year the AACR convenes more than twenty workshops and topical conferences, as well as an Annual Meeting that draws more than 17,000 participants from the cancer research community.
