You may donate a car, truck, motorcycle, recreational vehicle, or boat to the AACR Foundation. Proceeds from the sale of your vehicle will be used by the AACR Foundation for cancer research or research support.
Tax Information:
IRS regulations state that you may deduct the value for which the vehicle is sold by the charity, if you itemize your deductions. If the vehicle is sold for less than $500, you can deduct the fair market value up to $500. If the vehicle will be sold for more than $5,000, you must obtain an independent appraisal to enter a tax deduction greater than $5,000. The AACR Foundation will inform you of the amount for which the vehicle was sold within 30 days of the sale date.
