REGISTRATION PROCESS

The deadline for advance registration has passed. Onsite registration will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the AACR registration desk in the Woodrow Wilson Ballroom Foyer beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 16.


Registration forms will not be processed without full payment. All fees must be paid in U.S. currency and all checks must be drawn on a U.S. bank. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are also accepted for payment. Current AACR members will receive a reduced registration rate; however, members must provide their member ID number when registering. All registrations are for the full meeting; single day registration is not available.

REGISTRATION RATES

Attendee registration includes admission to all scientific sessions, the Opening Reception on November 16, continental breakfasts on November 17, 18, and 19, and refreshments during poster sessions.

You must be an AACR member, paid through 2008, prior to registering in order to receive the reduced member rate for this meeting. Students registering onsite must show a valid student ID. Advocates registering for this meeting must send a biography and pamphlet of their organization to Karen Mills in the AACR Survivor and Patient Advocacy Department at advocacy@aacr.org for verification.

Guest registration is for social activities only. It does not admit individuals to the lecture sessions. Social activities include the Opening Reception on November 16, continental breakfasts on November 17, 18, and 19, and refreshments during poster sessions.

AACR MEMBERSHIP

AACR membership opportunities are available to individuals who are interested in joining AACR and registering for this meeting at the reduced member rates. AACR Membership offers an array of benefits some of which include: subscriptions to AACR’s six scientific journals; abstract sponsorship privileges during the AACR Annual Meeting; networking and scientific exchange with leading researchers; and more. AACR is also eager to support the exchange of knowledge and research with investigators who are located in countries with emerging economies (significantly reduced membership dues are available for these investigators). ELIGIBILITY FOR REGISTRATION AT AACR MEMBER RATES

Only individuals who are listed on the membership rolls as of October 13, 2008, will be accorded the privilege of registering for this meeting at the member rates noted above. Individuals who are interested in joining AACR and registering in advance at the member rate must submit membership applications no later than October 9, 2008. Individuals interested in registering at the early registration rate must submit membership applications no later than September 9, 2008. If, upon review of the membership application, a candidate is deemed ineligible for the membership category to which he or she has applied, then the candidate will need to register at the nonmember rate. REFUND POLICY

Requests for refunds must be made in writing and received by the AACR Meetings Department by October 24, 2008. Refund requests may be sent by fax to (215) 351-9165 or by email to meetings@aacr.org. There will be a $75 administrative fee for processing cancellations received by October 24. After October 24, no refunds can be made.
