AACR Annual Meeting Scholar-in-Training Awards

Available to early-career scientists presenting a meritorious proffered paper at the AACR Annual Meeting. 

AACR-GlaxoSmithKline Clinical Cancer Research Scholar Awards

This special multi-year Scholar-in-Training Award is available for nine early-career scientists presenting highly-rated abstracts in the clincal cancer research abstract category. A separate letter of recommendation is required.

AACR-NCI International Investigator Opportunity Grants Program

For faculty at any level residing and conducting research in areas of the world where opportunities for specialized scientific training and career development for physicians and scientists are limited. Provides extensive travel support to the Annual Meeting and other selected AACR Meetings.

AACR Minority-Serving Institution Faculty Scholar Awards in Cancer Research

Available for full-time faculty members of Minority-Serving Institutions [Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), and Tribal Colleges and Universities]. They are available for attendance at the AACR Annual Meeting or Special Conferences. 

AACR Minority Scholar Awards

Provide support for attendance at the Annual Meeting and AACR Special Conferences through a generous grant provided by the Comprehensive Minority Biomedical Program of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Those eligible for these awards are scientists from groups considered to be underrepresented in cancer research by NCI (African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Native-Americans, Native Pacific Islanders, and Native Alaskans).

Bardos Science Education Awards for Undergraduate Students

Available to full-time third-year undergraduate students majoring in science. The purpose of these awards is to inspire promising science students to enter the field of cancer research. A separate application form is required.  

AACR-Women in Cancer Research-Brigid G. Leventhal Scholar Awards 

Sponsored by AstraZeneca, for scientists in training who are members of WICR. A separate application form is required.

AACR Special Conference Scholar-in-Training Awards

Available to a limited number of scientists in training attending each of the AACR's Special Conferences. To be considered you must meet the eligibility requirements; submit an abstract and letter of recommendation; and register for the conference.
