Undergraduate students are increasingly represented in both the AACR membership body and during its Annual Meeting. The AACR supports and encourages the education and training of young scientists. The AACR Science Education Committee demonstrates the Association's commitment to this population by sponsoring the Undergraduate Student Caucus and Poster Competition during the AACR Annual Meeting. This session addresses educational pathways, explores various career options in the cancer field, and provides an opportunity for students to compete for prizes while presenting their research.
Features of this program that make this a must to attend include:
- a panel discussion led by scientific investigators ranging from graduate students to postdocs who will address important issues relevant to scientific research and career development;
- a keynote address from a prominent cancer researcher who will inspire and motivate students to consider and commit to careers in cancer research;
- a competitive poster session which will award students 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for outstanding posters; and
- a complimentary Annual Meeting registration for all advance registered participants which allows access to all scientific sessions, the poster and exhibit hall, and much more!
Undergrads, don't miss out on this chance to learn from the experts and explore! Send an e-mail to scienceeducation@aacr.org if you have questions.
