Scientist↔Survivor Program

Forging Partnerships to Accelerate Progress Against Cancer

The AACR Scientist↔Survivor Program is designed to build enduring partnerships among the leaders of the scientific, cancer survivor, and patient advocacy communities worldwide. The program provides advocates with special lectures using lay language, small group discussions, and other opportunities for the exchange of information on key aspects of cancer research, survivorship, advocacy, and public policy.

The Scientist↔Survivor Program takes place at various AACR scientific meetings. The program provides an opportunity for patient advocates to learn about cancer research and to interact with scientists, doctors, health professionals, and other advocates. These groups come together to discuss the latest findings in cancer research, foster collaborative interdisciplinary partnerships, and promote progress in new research in cancer health disparities.

The upcoming Scientist↔Survivor Program will be held at the AACR Annual Meeting 2020 in San Diego, California. Applications must be submitted online and due by Dec. 16, 2019.

The AACR is thankful to its supporters of the Scientist↔Survivor Program.
