Individuals may apply for as many awards for which they qualify, but may receive a maximum of one award for this conference. The number of awards provided and the dollar amounts of each will be based on available funding. Awards are meant to offset a portion of the registration, travel, and subsistence expenses incurred by attending this conference. Applicants will be notified of their award status approximately six weeks after the application deadline. Applicants who are not selected for an award and, therefore, cannot attend the conference may receive a full refund of the conference registration fee upon request.

Scholar-in-Training Awards


Applications for Scholar-in-Training Awards for the AACR Special Conference on Advances in Ovarian Cancer Research will be accepted until Wednesday, June 26, 2019, 11:59 p.m. ET.

To apply for a Scholar-in-Training Award, applicants must first submit their abstract to the conference. To complete a Scholar-in-Training Award Application, applicants must log onto myAACR. Once logged on, click "Applications/Awards" to be directed to the AACR Online Submission System. Click "View All Activities" to find the 2019 Advances in Ovarian Cancer Research Special Conference Scholar-in-Training Award Application where you can create your submission. Click the "Create Submissions" button to begin.

Applicants will be asked to provide the title of their submitted abstract, CV (including a list of publications), and a short personal statement describing their research area and interests, current work setting, reasons for attending this conference, and career aspirations. 


  • Applicants must be an Associate Members of the AACR, in good standing. Nonmember graduate students, medical students and residents, and clinical or postdoctoral fellows who wish to apply for a Scholar-in-Training Award must submit a satisfactory application for AACR Associate Membership before Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Nonmembers can apply for membership by downloading the Official Application for Membership and submitting to the AACR office with the required documents, or apply online. Please submit your AACR membership application at least 30 days before the Scholar-in-Training Award deadline to ensure that it is processed in time for you to access your myAACR account. 
  • Applicants must be the presenter of the abstract submitted for the conference.
  • To provide this opportunity to the greatest number of trainees, eligibility is limited to individuals who have not received a Scholar-in-Training Award for a conference (excluding the Annual Meeting) in the 12 months prior to the first day of this conference.
