AACR/ABCF Special Education Session

The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) partnered with the Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF) to present an educational program for all patient advocates. The program is designed to help patient advocates better understand the basic science of breast cancer.

The 2022 AACR/ABCF Special Education Session will cover The T-cell and the Tumor: What We know About Immunotherapy for Breast Cancer by Stephanie L. Goff, MD, FACS, Senior Research Physician, surgical oncologist, and Head of Clinical Operations in the Surgery Branch of the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 12:00 pm CT / 1:00 pm ET.

Dr. Goff has received NIH and NCI Director’s Awards for clinical and scientific excellence. Her research interests include adoptive cell therapy for the treatment of solid tumors, building on the backbone of success in patients with metastatic melanoma to investigate the strategy in patients with metastatic breast cancer and exploring therapeutic for patients with treatment-refractory metastatic melanoma. She was trained in the clinical and basic science of tumor immunology under Dr. Steven Rosenberg at the NCI, surgical residency at NYP/Columbia University followed by a Surgical Oncology fellowship at the combined Dana-Farber/Harvard program.
