New York Marathon

Thank you for your interest in joining AACR Runners for Research in the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon! Signs up are now closed for 2023.

For the first time, the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), and its running team, AACR Runners for Research has been named an Official Charity Partner for the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon, which takes place on November 5th 2023.

You can join AACR Runners for Research in this race and support lifesaving cancer research. The AACR has given over $545 million in grants to fund the best cancer research in the world, with a goal of ending cancer, once and for all. Thanks to cancer research supported by people like you, more than 3.5 million cancer deaths have been prevented since 1991.

Online applications for the spots will be accepted until Thursday, April 13, 2023. Those selected will get:

  • Guaranteed entry in the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon
  • Individualized fundraising guidance, resources, and support
  • A personalized fundraising page to help you meet and exceed your fundraising goals
  • Official AACR Runners for Research gear

Please note that we have a limited number of entries. In exchange for a guaranteed entry to the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon, runners pledge to raise a minimum of $3,000 in donations to support AACR’s programs and services. Runners who do not reach this goal by November 5th, 2023 will be required to donate the difference. Runners will be required to cover their own entry fee.
