My quest for scientific knowledge about cancer biology, therapeutic options, and health disparity led me to pursue a doctoral degree in pharmaceutical sciences (with a concentration in pharmaceutics) at Florida A&M University. My research in Dr. Edward Agyare’s laboratory focuses on enhancing the efficacy of preferred chemotherapeutic drugs such as (gemcitabine and 5-fluorouracil) using conjugation synthesis, optimized nano-delivery systems for targeted treatment against pancreatic patient-derived xenograft from African American descent.
