Abstract 2950. Coexpression networks of miRNAs and gene transcripts coinciding with lung adenocarcinoma progression and survival.

What are your long-term goals?

My long-term goals are to become a successful independent researcher in the field of cancer bioinformatics and data science and matriculate in business development, venture capital, and technology transfer.

Please share information about how the pandemic has impacted your research over the last two years.

COVID has greatly impacted my education and research at MSM over the last two years. Because of COVID and the reduced available time at the bench I was forced to adapt my project from a hybrid project with computation and bench aims to a sole computation dissertation project. This change forced a 1-year extension of my anticipated graduation. COVID has limited my access to advisors, mentors, and colleagues who I rely on for advice and scientific expertise. This along with the everyday financial stressors (increased rent and utilities, moving expenses, gas, food, family) of COVID have affected me a great deal during my tenure at MSM.
