Research Interests

The study of aberrant transcriptional regulation and epigenetic/chromatin changes in hematologic malignancies, including acute promyelocytic leukemia, multiple myeloma, childhood ALL and lymphoma; mutant forms of histone methyl transferases and histones themselves as drivers of malignancy; aberrant gene regulation, specifically the role of abnormal function of histone methyl transferases and histone demethylases in diseases such as multiple myeloma; developing small molecule strategies to normalize gene regulation and treat disease.
