“Dr. Gay’s goals are to improve healthcare modalities and awareness for patients with Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) by improving liver cancer immunotherapy. Moreover, the incidence of NASH and fibrosis are significant in Latino and non-Latino whites as compared with African-Americans. Her research objectives are to address the rising concern that the fastest-growing cause of cancer-related death is liver cancer. Dr. Martha Gay is currently an NIH TL-1 Biomedical Postdoctoral Scholar at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.”
